The Magic of Yoga and Inspiring Friendship Happiness Hack

Have you ever noticed a change in your child's behaviour when they become friends with someone new or start hanging around with a new group of friends?

It's almost as if they morph into a different person.

Sometimes the change is on a positive level, and other times brings negative influences.

Motivational speaker Jim Rohn famously said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with

On one hand, we can count the people who we will become, based on who we spend our time with.

We are all energy.

When we surround ourselves with friends who are negative, insecure or destructive, it impacts how we think, feel and behave.

Likewise, when we surround ourselves with inspiring people who make us feel happy and confident, we inevitably become the same.

This week in class, two children, who had never met before starting yoga with us, made a beautiful connection.

They were completing their happy list of 10 things/people that makes them smile

When it came time for the children to share one thing from their list, these two girls shared in succession that they had written each other as examples of who makes them happy.

I was so thrilled to hear that through meeting at yoga, these girls had formed a new friendship

It never ceases to amaze me, the magic that happens on and beyond the yoga mat.

This week in class, we are learning about how to be happy on the inside

One happiness hack that has instant results is practicing gratitude.

So who are you grateful for in your life?
