At ignite Yoga we have created wellbeing programs for children and families based on the foundations of yoga, mindfulness and The Arts.
We are committed to inspiring and empowering children and adults to IGNITE the light within; to be the brightest version of themselves. Because everyone deserves to feel CALM, CONFIDENT and CONNECTED.
Our classes are intelligently designed with the developmental stages of your child in mind and can be tailored to suit many varying needs.
Meet Kelly
Your children are in safe hands with our highly experienced, patient and warm-hearted yoga teacher. Kelly holds a Dual Bachelor degree in Behavioural Studies and Middle Years Education and is an expert on working with and supporting children, having been a classroom teacher of 15 years. In combination with her own dedication to a personal yoga practice of over 15 years, Kelly brings a passion for inspiring children to believe in themselves, be courageous and feel calm.

It is best to eat an hour before yoga. Small healthy snacks beforehand are ok. Snacks high in sugar are best to avoid before yoga.

Clothing that is easy to move in freely like leggings, stretchy shorts and comfortable shirts are recommended.
Anything that restricts the body or has zippers and buttons are not recommended.
Shoes aren’t required for class.

Our Tween Yoga classes are designed to build self-regulation and confidence in children. Parents are welcome to wait outside or leave and return for pick up.
To attend class with your child, we recommend our family friendly classes. They are the perfect way for parents and children/teens to connect and have fun together.

Please arrive up to 15 minutes before class to allow time to settle and change.
We understand that life happens. In the event you are running a little late, please enter the class with minimal disruption.

Refunds are not available for change of mind, errors with bookings or if you miss a class.
Make up classes are available at our other locations should you wish to attend a make-up class. Please contact us at kelly@igniteyogabrisbane.com to book in for a make-up class.
Refunds or credits can be requested for extenuating circumstances (E.g. Prolonged illness or injury where 3 or more classes have been missed in a row.
Refunds or credits are also offered for events beyond our control such as lockdowns, teacher illness or natural disasters.
Commitment and consistency equal best results, but we understand it is not always possible to complete the full 8 week program. The 4 week Flexi programs are a great option if you are unable to commit for the full term or wish to attend fortnightly.

A story themed class that involves dynamic and engaging exercises and yoga poses to inspire tweens to be the best version of themselves – physically, mentally and emotionally. Your child will be taken on an imaginary journey whilst exploring how their body and mind are connected, including opportunities for creative expression through movement. This class is a carefully thought out sequence of warm up exercises, breath work, intelligently themed poses, partner poses, yoga games, challenging and balancing poses, guided relaxation, reflection exercises and/or craft activities to take home. Each class equips your tween with easy to apply mindfulness tools and techniques that they can use to self-regulate their emotions and take care of their bodies in their everyday lives. Your tween will leave this class feeling calm and relaxed, confident in themselves and connected to their true potential.

A dynamic and engaging class designed to inspire and educate teens about the benefits of yoga, breath work and the mind, body connection. Your teen will be empowered to develop the self-awareness and self-confidence to take care of their body, mind and overall well-being from the inside out; to be the brightest version of themselves, both physically, mentally and emotionally. This class is a carefully thought out sequence of warm up exercises, breath work, intelligently themed poses, partner poses, challenging and balancing poses, guided relaxation, reflection exercises and opportunities for discussions about topics relevant to their lives. Your teen will leave this class feeling calm & relaxed, re-energised and confidently equipped with effective mindfulness tools that they can use to manage their emotions, mindset and overall health and wellbeing in their everyday lives.
